Ask (AI)

Ask answers plain-English questions about your WordPress data with a real, editable chart. It runs on Glimpse AI credits included with every Pro plan, and by default it sends your schema only, never your rows.

Step by step

  1. 1Activate your Pro license (Glimpse BI → License) so Ask can check your credits.
  2. 2Open Glimpse BI → Ask and accept the one-time data notice (an admin does this once).
  3. 3Type a question, for example “Revenue by month, this year vs last”.
  4. 4If a word is ambiguous Ask asks you to pick (net or gross revenue, say) and can save the choice to your glossary.
  5. 5Check the interpretation line and “How this was computed”, then save the chart, pin it to a dashboard, or open it in the builder.

What leaves your site

Three data tiers control this. Schema only is the default: table and column names and types. Schema + values adds short lists such as order statuses so filters are right first time. Full results lets Ask read result rows to explain why a number moved, and stays off until an admin turns it on. Requests go to Glimpse’s AI service on Cloudflare, running DeepSeek models, and are never used to train models.

Private tables

Tables you mark private (users, user meta and customer details by default) are blocked for Ask outright. Every query Ask writes is a read-only SELECT checked by the same engine as a hand-built chart.

AI credits

Each Pro plan adds credits on the 1st of every month and unused allowance does not roll over. Top-up packs are available from your account and never expire while your license is active. One balance is shared across all of your sites.
